Technical Requirements

Reporting

All of Timesite's reports (for example, invoices) are based on Crystal Reports 10 and are therefore completely customisable.

Scalability

This is dependent on the server hardware that Timesite resides on. There is no limit to the number of users Timesite will support. Server load and subsequent specification is defined by reporting requirements rather than users.

For larger sites (greater than 500 users), if the circumstances require, Timesite can be installed across up to four different servers: database server, web services server, scheduling server, and web server. For even larger sites each of these servers can be clustered or load balanced.

For smaller sites (less than 500 users) Timesite can be, and usually is, installed on a single server.

System Requirements

The Timesite application has four requirements: a database, a web server, scheduling services and a web browser. Each of these components have requirements as outlined below.

  • Microsoft SQL Server 2000 and above
  • MSDE/SQL Express (the free runtime versions of MS SQL)

Web Server

  • Microsoft IIS 6.0

Web browser

  • IE 6.0 and above
